Chiropractor Wendi Preston has been helping people in Stark County and surrounding areas live pain-free through chiropractic for over two decades. Her holistic care spans the entire wellness spectrum, and she offers high-quality treatment to meet the objectives of each of her patients.
“Receiving chiropractic treatment helps to keep the body healthy,” she explained. “It also promotes energy because when you feel better, you are more active.” Dr. Preston has a diverse client base, ranging from children and teens to early seniors. While her primary focus is on back and neck pain, she also has had good results with treatment of extremity conditions including shoulder, wrist, elbow, knee and ankle pains. Many of her patients treat with her on a regular basis for relief of chronic headaches, both tension and migraine type. She also works with athletes, pregnant women, and those injured in car or work accidents. She begins with relief care, progresses to corrective care, and then continues with wellness care after the issue has been resolved. She uses a ‘whole person technique,’ looking for underlying reasons for a patient’s discomfort. She also educates her patients on how to make lifestyle changes to improve their health and comfort. Dr. Preston’s chiropractic treatments are gentle, specific, and effective. Since some patients are uncomfortable with traditional hands-on spinal adjustments, she also offers alternative techniques that include activator adjusting, spinal traction, stretching exercises, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, vibration massage and heat therapies. "A lot of my patients say they didn’t know they could feel this good,” she said. “They want to keep coming back to make sure their bodies stay healthy. Many wish they had sought chiropractic treatment at the onset of pain instead of having suffered needlessly." When questioned about her career choice to be a chiropractor, she states, “I always wanted to be a doctor, but I wanted time for my family, too, As a chiropractor with my own business, I’m able to enjoy both my family and my career.” She truly has a family practice with her mother, Elizabeth, serving as the front desk/office manager since the office opened over seventeen years ago.
Preston Chiropractic has flexible office hours and offers evening hours three nights a week to accommodate patients’ work schedules. They also offer text messaging as an option, which allows patients to create future appointments even when the office is closed. Preston Chiropractic is currently accepting new patients.
